Ever wonder why marriages dont last? The answers are many and we will address them best we can.
Too easy to end:
Marriages have become too easy to end. I am not saying couples should remain in “bad” marriages. What I am saying is it has become too easy to end a marriage. Many years ago one had to go to court with “valid” reasons to end a marriage and in some cases a Judge would not grant a Divorce without first ordering counseling or the like in a effort to save the union. Divorce become the only or most reasonable solution to a problem that might be resolved without ending a marriage. Yes my friends Divorce is too easy to attain and like most of us we take the easy and fast solution.
We are too disposable:
Yep I said it. We are too disposable! We tend to discard everything and everyone that no longer suits are current needs. Like a flat tire we discard it. funny thing that tire may have been repaired instead of discarding. This would spare you the cost of a new and the time invested in the replacement. Marriages can be repaired or at very least attempt to repair before discarding! We have become too disposable and thus we tend to throw a marriage away before or instead of trying to save.
True meaning of marriage is lost:
We somehow lost the meaning of marriage. When we marry we take vows that are intended to be a lifelong bond. No we lost this even though we still say it. Its more like till I get tired of you instead until death do us part. Religious or marriage is intended to be a lifetime but we lost that. Marriage is and always has been a life time commitment if you have any other other opinion then you need not marry.
We can get back to what marriage is suppose to be once we acknowledge the above and work at it. Marriage is work and sometimes VERY hard work. However if we truly love our partner its worth the effort.
